Creating Hugo & Nox
The Hugo & Nox comic series grew out of Robert N. Riedel’s lifelong love of drawing and storytelling, combined with years of exploration in watercolor, ink, and visual narrative. What began as a sketchbook idea developed into a deeply personal project—brought to life during long evenings in the studio and long hikes with his wife where they brainstormed plotlines and character arcs. As Robert illustrated each panel by hand, Hugo & Nox evolved into a handcrafted, independent series. Now at issue #4, The Chase Begins. The Hunt Awaits, the project continues to grow—layer by layer, brushstroke by brushstroke.
