I had an idea for a story, so I sat down to draw. I first created the two robo-friends some years ago, doodling in my sketch book. As I created Hugo, and then Nox, their world came to life, and their story began...
Throughout this beautiful world, life is everywhere, water flows clear and clean, and animals roam on the green hills. Yet underneath is a hidden past, where nature covers abandoned buildings. Roads no longer exist and cars are left to decay, abandoned beside waterfalls.
Then there is Robot City, a place where our heroes live. A city of Robots left alone, until Nox wants answers. With the help of Hugo they find new purpose and seek to answer the only question that matters, 'Where are the lost humans?'
The first Issue of Hugo & Nox was completed while I was living in St. Pete Florida. I had decided to draw the entire issue using panes gray watercolors. When the issue was completed, I added color digitally. This being my first ever published comic, the project was massive and took several months.
I have planned this story to take place over twelve issues. I am the creator, writer, and Illustrator. Each issue takes many months to complete. Even still, I love drawing Hugo and Nox and each page is illustrated with great love and care.
I draw inspiration from nature and that often shifts and changes as my surroundings change. Each issue tells its own story of Hugo & Nox, as well as my life as an artist. I hope you fall in love with the artwork and the story, and that you continue to join me and Hugo & Nox on the quest to find the lost humans.
